Hello all. Today I did something. It felt great.
After losing my baby girl I really didn’t give myself a goal to return to writing. I knew I would eventually. I was nervous I got to admit. But it felt so good to create again. To smile and giggle at the scenes I wrote. So good to have this feeling back. Now that I am back I’ve got a couple of goals in mind when I want my novel done and ready to submit.
Every day I still feel her loss, feel a piece of me missing. I’ve accepted that I may always feel this way but I will continue on. I will continue to dream and strive for a better future.
Episode 2: Getting to Know Me – Part 2
I’m back for a second week! In this episode I finish up answering questions my family and friends submitted to me regarding the cozy mystery I am working on.
I did pretty good this week on meeting my 1,000 words a day. I am so close to finishing y’all! At least I hope so. Think there’s really only two major sections/scenes to write and then on to the next step! Finding beta readers! Nervous and excitement for the next part.
Please take a listen and let me know what you think. I’m all about improving, changing to make my content better. Also let me know where you are at with your novel in the comments below. Thanks! 🙂
Episode 1: Getting to Know Me – Part 1
Hi! Well I’ve dun done it haha. My first podcast. Not sure what I am thinking. Hoping this helps me connect to other authors, people who love discovering new authors and supporting them.
In this episode I asked family and friends to submit questions about the current novel I am working on. Thank y’all so much for those! I had fun making this and learned I need to work on my breathing! haha.
I’ve been trying to add my podcast to different apps but I am having no luck today/tonight. I will update when I am up and running on those apps.
So for right now please take a listen below and let me know what you think. If you have a podcast or if you recommend a podcast that I should follow let me know in the comments below!
One of the surprising things I’ve learned in the writing world is how supportive other writers have been. I reached out on one of the Facebook groups I belong to and inquired about podcasting and one of the members offered to have me on their podcast.
Now I must warn you – the audio of myself is not good! haha. I swear the mic was far from me but dang that thing picks up my voice! I promise to work on that since I will be uploading a weekly podcast soon. My goal with this podcast is to let everyone see well hear another side to me and how my progress is going with my novel.
Below is the link to the podcast I was featured on. Please take a listen and give a follow to my fellow author Less C Harper!

Maybe not. But my last one didn’t help me in regards to my writing! Before my vacation a couple months back I was writing at least 1,000 words each day. Now? No where near that.
I’ve been brainstorming on other ways to connect, network with the writing/reader world. I’m going to dip my toe into podcasting. Probably will start with a weekly podcast and see where it goes. It will take a lot of time and commitment that I hope reaches people and lets them see…well I guess hear another side to me. 🙂 I think it’s a different way I can relay my passion for writing, talk about what I’m working on, the struggles I face and hopefully all my future accomplishments.
I started writing for myself. To entertain myself. With the encouragement from family and friends I’ve stepped out into the light and want to share my words, my stories with you all. I’m hoping a podcast can be just another way to entertain you all.
